Chelsea FC crestJust found out that Chelsea have an official you tube page.
Currently there are about 10 clips. My favorite is ‘Diarra answers the question‘, its hilarious. 😀

England home kit (+)Umbro have revealed the new England home kit, that will be on debut when the England take on Spain at Old Trafford on Wednesday evening.

It looks pretty good even though the St. George’s cross (which I like) is missing.

I came across this site that list the formations and tactics of over 300 teams. 😛
The interface could be improved but none the less the amount of data is fascinating.

Chelsea FC crestI haven’t been to the site for some while and was shocked when I saw the new site. Its a major overhaul of the design and i like it. I haven’t seen any other club site like this. 😛

The best feature of the site is its unique navigation. I especially like the zoom in/out feature.

bridge-rainbow.jpgThis picture was taken during the game between Chelsea and Portsmouth at Stamford Bridge. I just thought it looked beautiful.

I love rainbows, I think they’re awesome and they remind me of how great God is. I love just staring at them . Wish i could see it more often in Kuwait.

Well, what can I say, the match was fantastic. Mourinho said before the match that he expected the game to be more open than their previous encounters and that was indeed true . 😛

At this point I must say, Kudos to Hilario, Chelsea’s third goalie (making his first competitive debut for Chelsea) with all the pressure that was on him to perform, he didn’t break and made some crucial stops.

The first half was Barcelona’s better half with Lionel Messi looking the most dangerous, but even in this half Chelsea was the slightly better team, creating some really good chances with a proper finish eluding them.

drogba celebratingThe second half is a different story. Soon after the break Drogba scored another amazing goal, bringing back memories of his stunner against Liverpool. Chelsea’s midfield simply stood out with slick passing, tight ball control and sharp interceptions. Micheal Essien was outstanding. Khalid Boularouhz is also proving to be another real gem in Chelsea’s formidable defense as Ronaldinho found it extremely hard to get past him.

In the end I think Barcelona were glad that they did not loose by a wider margin.

BeforeBridge

I wanted to see how Stamford Bridge looked after Adidas became the kit sponsor of Chelsea. These pics shows how the ‘umbro’ on the seats of Chelsea’s stadium has been replaced by ‘adidas’.

Wow! I never imagined this could happen but it seems Bollywood is going to make a movie entitled ‘Jhoom Barabar Jhoom’ revolving around a loyal chelsea fan.

priety+abhishek

Abhishek Bachan, Priety Zinta, Aishwarya Rai and Lara Dutta, all visited Stamford Bridge recently to attend matches against Charlton and Liverpool.

Hope the movie will have some quality to it when its released around May next year. There were rumors that Terry, Lampard and Mourinho would also make an appearance but Chelsea dismissed those reports

CelebratingThe results of last sunday’s matches were to my liking. Chelsea beat Liverpool 1 – 0 courtesy of a astonishing goal by Drogba, even Tiger Woods approved! and (I can’t believe I am saying this…) I was also glad that Arsenal beat Manchest Utd, thus closing the gap between Chelsea and Man U 😛

Last season many people felt that many players were overpriced, well now you can truly see their worth, for example Essien. In other words they’re staring to really pay-off.

This Sunday will see two key fixtures in the English Premier League:
Chelsea v LiverpoolManU v. Arsenal
Chelsea vs. Liverpool (1230BST) and Manchester Utd. vs. Arsenal (1500BST)
I would like to see both Chelsea and Arsenal win their matches because that would mean that Chelsea would have cut United’s 3 point lead over them 😛
However, they’ll be tough matches as both Liverpool and Arsenal will be looking to end their dismal start to the season.

Excited as this is the first time that I’ll be seeing these top four teams competing on the same day, appropriately being called “Grand Slam Sunday” by the media.
